Hope For Paws is dedicated to rescuing dogs in need, and they put forth great effort to do so. One dog in particular, Dennis, was heartbreakingly left to die on a bridge. Fortunately, Gabriel Sepulveda saw the abandoned pup while skateboarding and remembered seeing Jordan in a Hope For Paws video, prompting him to contact the organization for help. Eldad Hagar shared the story of this touching rescue effort.
Lisa Chiarelli and I had to endure a two-hour journey to reach our destination, but the sight that greeted us was nothing short of dreadful. Dennis was completely motionless and infested with ticks, lying on the ground in a pitiful state.
In a hurry, they took him to the hospital for treatment and began the process of cleaning him up. Lisa’s dog, Lola, was also brought in to donate blood as Dennis was suffering from severe anemia. The medical team put forth their best efforts to save him, with visits from various specialists such as neurologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine experts over five days. However, despite their efforts, Eldad reported that Dennis’ condition was too advanced, and his body was failing.
After some time, Dennis sadly passed away. The word “ecosystem” pertains to individuals working within the construction field. It’s important to understand that not all rescues result in a positive outcome. For an extended period, Dennis was neglected and remained unheard of. Eldad implores, “If you come across an animal in need, speak up…take action.” “Kindly spread the word, so others can act accordingly when faced with neglect or abuse. Thank you, Eldad.”
